On several occasions now, but only at night, the output voltage from my EasySolar has dropped out for a few minutes. (I know this because the occupant of our garden cottage, who uses an apnoea machine, notices it very clearly 
, but also because this causes the RCD in our own house to trip, and when I get up in the morning everything is off.) When I look at the graphs in the “advanced” view, there is no interruption visible around those times. There are no alarm notifications either, which you would expect. Can anyone shed any light on this?
To be able to use the sleep-apnoea device again, shouldn’t that RCD be reset first?
In other words, does an RCD trip at the input of the EasySolar or at the output?
No, all the other residual-current devices, including the one in the garden shed, stay on as normal. And the power comes back without any further intervention on my part. Our own residual-current device is a touch oversensitive and also trips quite often when the power is switched on or off.
What is the reporting interval for VRM set to on your GX?
VRM charts, set to one minute, are good enough for sustained variation in metrics, but not transients.
If you are really having a voltage drop for minutes, then it would show, unless your interval is much longer - like 15 minutes.
It was indeed still set to 15 minutes. It’s now set to 1 minute.
