This was a live chat already.
Yes very annoying, got also this message after the first live chat timed out, but it still didn’t work.
Simply open next live chat after 1-2 days, say them you already have tickets #,… open but it still doesn’t work.
Only way (mine experience) to get Modbus enabled,…
@mpvader is this something that you can contact Enphase about?
As this is affecting many Enphase Modbus TCP users, and we cannot contact Enphase to let them investigate their problem, they work only on individual issues…
Nope, the only thing you can do is posting on the Enphase forum (basic the same as here).
Mathijs did this before, they know some people who work at enphase.
And mine system is gone again ![]()
It was a watchdog Reset of the envoy that causes Modbus to turn off.
How am I going to explain this Enphase,…
I know it’s slightly off topic, but I hope someone can answer this question: for those who have a Victron system set up as ESS, and paired via Modbus to Enphase Envoys: do you have access to the net-consumption/production data from the Enphase Consumption CT, or do you have an external meter installed?
I have an external meter installed.
Only PV production data is transmitted.
Thank you for your answer.
For what is worth: I’ve recently had an Enphase system installed and promptly asked to activate Modbus as I plan to pair it with a Victron ESS.
I’ve been told that Modbus was activated after my request, but there is a known issue on Enphase’s end affecting Modbus communication (Port 502/packet handling). I’ve been told they’re actively working on it.
In any case, I guess I’ll have to buy a meter ![]()
Okay this sounds good, so they are currently working on it!
Hopefully it will be fixed soon!
I’ve got a reply from Enphase Support, Modbus is now active and working ![]()
Got a mail that Modbus is activated, but it still doesn’t work,…
Just trying to connect to port 502 on the envoy, but i get no reply (connection refused) also now with the helpdesk chat online they said they fixed it but no luck so far, got another guy now in the chat looking into it…
Tell them they should fix the issue for everyone!!!
he first needs to solve it, after that i am able to ask something about the root cause but i’ve been on the chat for an hour now.. to give you an idea.
I know these chats take ages.
I also asked last time why it happened, he couldn’t tell.
Did see there was a watchdog reset, just after communication failed.
can you check if port 502 is open? can you make a established connection to it? # nc -vz -G 3 502
as mine just says connection refused.
