Hello,
I get strange “A” values from my EM24 which is configured as GRID Meter or I am not able to calculate V*A=W.
Has someone an idea?
[site ] DEBUG 2025/05/05 20:21:38 grid powers: [-53 24 72]W
[site ] DEBUG 2025/05/05 20:21:38 grid currents: [-1.84 0.363 0.633]A
With V=233
The power values are right …
Strange enough the tibber pulse adon shows the same magic on the offical meter …

Hi Hofy,
go to the VRM-portal and do the follwing calculation:
Add all three powers from
Grid
AC-Load
Critical load ( if exists)
and divide it by the voltage and you’ve got the displayed Amperes per phase.
Best,
Wilm
Hi @Hofy , this is likely due to a low power factor. The [-53 24 72]W numbers are the real power while V*A is called the apparent power (with fittingly called volt-amperes (VA) as unit instead of watts)
You can read more in section 6.3 of the Wiring Unlimited book .

I wish the VM-3P75CT supported the power factor in Node-RED but hey
Thank you so much for the answer. I will read in detail with some time. but it makes sence because with 11KW the values get accurate …
