Hello together
So, I’ve had the Easy Solar configured as an ESS for two days. It’s connected to the grid, but it’s intended as an emergency charger since I currently only have 100Ah available.
I keep getting the “Battery Low” message, even though it currently shows a charge level of 78% and the battery has a voltage of 26.2V (25.6V LiFePO battery). On the day of installation,
I tested it and deactivated the grid. The Easy Solar did what it was supposed to and continued to power my devices from the battery. The display then shows ESS Discharge.
However, for some reason, it seems to keep turning off the ESS and then draw power from the grid. Display now shows ESS Sustain. I don’t understand why it does this and whether it has anything to do with the low battery alarm.
When I disconnect the grid, it switches off the AC output, and all my devices no longer have power. This is really annoying. I checked the battery connections and re-sealed them. I hope I can now rule out the problem with the battery connection.
When I restart the Easy Solar, the ESS works again, but the battery low alarm immediately appears. Battery voltage is 26.06 volts.
The low battery alarm is set to 22.5 volts. I don’t understand this. Is it because I only have 100 AH of battery?
According to Victron, 200 Ah is the minimum, but I don’t think it should notice that with a power consumption of 100 watts.
Unfortunately, it shuts down again after a short time. I had to reconnect my PC to the grid before the magic smoke came out. This isn’t how I imagined my Victron setup. It worked without problems with the cheap Amazon inverter.
I really hope you can help me; I’m desperate and frustrated.
I also hope you have all the informations. Dont hesitate if you want to see more screenshots, I would be very grateful if you could help me.
Thanks, Fischer
