Hi There
I’m new to the forums but have been using Victron for a while, for just basic MPPT installs. I’ve had a Smart Solar MPPT on a 160W panel, in the canopy for a while just keeping an old automotive battery topped up to run my 1200W Inverter and 80L Bushman upright fridge while on the road. I’ve just started a pretty major upgrade to a Cerbo GX with Temp and GPS connected, Multiplus inverter charger, 2x 200Ah Predator Lithium Slimline batteries, Smartsolar 100/30 and an Orion-TR DC-DC (that I already want to upgrade to an Orion XS).
It’s still a work in progress in as far as the enclosure will take some time to complete and re-arrange as I’m time poor at present. So far I’m stoked with how easy everything is connecting and configuration is so simple. The only real challenge so far (besides the realestate restrictions) has been the Predator batteries CAN connection. Documentation is lacking and the Cerbo CAN settings were a trial and error excersize. Settings below for anyone headed down the same path. The Predator batteries have a simple addressing process if using more than 1 and once the correct settings were selected in the Cerbo GX the remote console showed the 2 batteries as a single device reporting current charge, output current, temp and whole bunch of other data and alarm states.
