This is a system that I designed for a client wanting a system to brag about.
It consists of the following.
3X Multiplus-ii 48/15000/200-100
4X MPPT250/100
48X Trina TSM-DE19-550W panels with 2 stings of 6 per MPPT.
4X Balancell 14.4kwh Lithium batteries.
1X Zhiel network controller for local grid compliance.
Appearance
The system is built on a backing plate made to fit onto a wall and hide most of the wiring.
Here is the system all buttoned up.
This is the system connected in our workshop for testing.
This is the back of the system. This will be hidden when it is installed but we made the best attempt to make it look nice.
Ziehl System.
Due to the local grid standard in South Africa requiring an external NS system for systems over 30kva that has multiple inverters a Ziehl ufr1001e network controller controlling 2X contactors was added to the AC distribution. The system also contains a transfer switch for maintenance bypass.
Batteries
We are using the Balancell brand of batteries in this system. They are a local manufacturer that developed their own distributed BMS. Due to them developing their own BMS their fist generation batteries did give me quite a bit of trouble, but the redesign has resulted in a solid battery. With built in GSM monitoring and a easy to repair design.
The system is not currently installed, and I will unfortunately be leaving the company that I made this with before installation. But I will update this post with pictures of the final installation as well when it is done.
