Hello I’ve been trying yo get my victron system working through the GX LTE 4G-A. My system is in a remote location but with good cell coverage, I have been trying off and on for a couple months but no luck. I have now brought the unit home to try and troubleshoot it hoping it was a coverage issue but to no avail. Under the GSM modem tab on my Cerbo GX, it shows internet online, roaming allowed, sim status readyAPN has the same name as I have on SIXFAB, My IOT provider and my IMEI matches the number on my modem
In the VRM online portal my logging is enabled, The VRM Portal ID matches but I constantly get a #152 connection timeout error…
The system works great if I connect wifi here at home but I have no wifi out at the camp. Thus the need for the modem. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I bought the modem on amazon and my local victron dealer has no experience with this setup… Thank you in advance.
I am looking to do this exact same configuration for remote access and surprised no one has ever done this, have you had any success with the connection?
What carrier are you using? If it’s Verizon Wireless, they do not, and have told me they will not support the GX LTE 4G-A modem on their network. I have used both AT&T and T-Mobile with great success. In my experience, T-Mobile is the easiest as it just works upon inserting the SIM card.
