Determining if Solar Panels are all working

I have a victron setup professionally installed in my travel trailer - I have 4 x 200 W panels - but although it’s summer, in SoCal, I’ve never seen it > 460W - which means 57% efficiency?

Is that common/standard? Is there a view in VictronConnect that would show “yes, the device sees the 4 panels, but each one is only giving 115W out of 200W” or “no, the solar controller is only seeing 3 panels, and one is only giving 60W”

or is that too much to ask?

The solar charger see it’s own MPPT, not the panels. If you have 4 small charger, each with one panel, you can see each panel.

Most Victron solar chargers have one MPPT, so they do not see single panels. Therefor you need “optimizers” which are not compatible with Victron.

Follow the PV cables. I assume you have two strings parallel, each string with two panels in series and not string diodes.

If one of the panels is partly shadowed, the current of the related string will significantly decrease. I had Trina vertex s+ panels, where 10% shadow caused power drop of 80%. This will affect both panels in the string, e.g. one panel 10% shadowed → two panels at 20% power. That’s why I selected micro grid inverters for the majority of my panels.

Just check the PV wiring and thing if panel position and sequence are optimal according to above observations.
