DESS keeps switching off automatically

Since updating the firmware from 3.67 to a later version, the DESS function keeps switching off every few minutes. I don’t get any fault notification.
A long time ago, it started when I upgraded from 3.67 to 3.68. I then reverted from 3.68, and since then the problem has not occurred again.

Yesterday I updated to 3.75, followed by 3.79 and 3.80~44, but the problem persists. And now, of course, I can no longer go back to 3.67.

Any idea what might be causing this?

Setup:

  • Cerbo GX
  • 1x MultiPlus II 5000 (on L1)
  • 3x25A grid connection
  • ET340 3-phase grid meter
  • ET340 PV meter
  • ET112 PV meter

So many posts with issues start with this statement :upside_down_face: it’s almost never a good idea to update a working system

No idea why not? Besides there being no option for rollback. You can re install it. Problem is always setting it up again.

Thanks, I’ve manually reloaded 3.67 large as well, and everything is working properly again (at least, DESS no longer switches off automatically all the time).

The reason I wanted to update the firmware was to experiment with Shelly equipment. For example, to run a heat-pump water heater at the right times. But with firmware 3.67, that’s a bit more difficult again.

I’m wondering where things are going wrong. Anyone?
