DESS ignores its own forcast to charge from Grid. FYI, the hours from 12-15 was also marked for forcasted Grid to Battery, but as seen in the image, no charging was done. It only idles instead of charging. DESS is in trade mode. Does anyone know how I can fix this? There is no limits that hinders the system to charge.
I can see that the scheduler is sending your system a “grid2battery” restriction past 2 days from 6 to 22? May it be possible that you have configured that in your DESS Settings?
Thank you for reaching out! That sounds strange, I have no idea where I can find that setting. Could you point me in the right direction? Tried setting a property with node-red now, but not sure if this is the case.
The Strange thing is that the 6-22 interval correlates very well with the differentiated pricing I have set up in DESS. On weekdays the price is higher between 6-22.
But - no matter if battery setting related or price-related it is super strange that the energy flows outline a purchase from grid, but the scheduler sends a restriction.
Thanks. I just checked. I have no restrictions in the settings. I see its scheduled charge from grid in about 2 hours. Was hoping it actually will charge today. Will report back. Really hoping to find the cause for this behavior. The planed charging/discharging plan looks spot on.
I cannot see any obvious reason as well. I will forward this to the scheduler team. I can see a 8-22h Grid2Bat Restriction today as well - but at the same time target-socs that “indicate charging”.
(And then your system will give the restriction precedence as it should do)
Doesn’t fit together, there is something going wrong somewhere.
As a workaround:
Select 1 hour of the day, where you for sure won’t buy, probably 8-9 or 19-20 when it is “main-sell-time” - and increase the buy-price there by a tiny amount.
