My configuration is correct. The first 5-7 days it runs really good with DESS activated.
It loads the battery in the night when the price from Tibber is low.
But the last few days the DESS makes trouble.
The only correct option is = back to normal ESS
Sorry guys it is a nice idea and the right way but at this moment it’s not usable.
I think there is a bug in the Green mode.
It seems that the logic works like the trade mode.
Same issue on my installation.
It probably only happens when solar forecast is smaller than estimated consumption forecast (I also got this from another post).
Only workaround for me is to disable to sell enery to the grid.
@dfaber
Hi Dirk how are you?
Because the DESS green mode is still in development I did set ESS to ‘keep batteries charged’ every day manually to do a full charge every day.
Did this mess up my algorithm ?? It is kind of self learning is it not ?
For a few days now I did not touch any of the settings but the battery is empty and not charging.
how to clear my algorithm? or is this not necessary ?
I appear to be having a similar problem in Green Mode.
My PV diverts to the battery whilst not in a DESS scheduled charge period. When the charge period is activated any PV energy over the allotted charge amount is diverted back to Grid.
MY PV is AC coupled and I do not have a solar forecast.
Apologies for the poor photos I will try to learn how you all get those great pictures.
It would be practical to have some kind of flowchart about DESS.
Which tells how exactly the algorithm of DESS is making the decisions.
That would make it easier for us to troubleshoot and return debugging information?
