DC-DC output when off

I have an Orion HP 12-24 20A DC-DC. When the DC-DC is disabled, I’m seeing 12ish volts on the 24V output. It’s not just a bit of leakage, it’s enough to snap a 20A fuse and keep my Multiplus complaining about a low battery when it should be off.

Is this expected or do I have a defective Orion?

Is it the non-isolated version?

Yes non-isolated high-power Orion. The output appears to be close to be one diode drop away from the input voltage.

I have never used the non-isolated and I dont have one to test. If it has failed you might see the 24V on the 12V side that has always worried me.

Thanks Owen, I’m seeing the 12V input on the 24V output. It’s new right out of the box. I’ve enabled the 24V battery to test the inverter system, but I haven’t enabled that DC/DC or checked the fuses yet.

Just to close this out, it was totally pilot error.
A precharge circuit is holding the bus up, and it’s the caps in the Multiplus that hold enough energy to snap the 20A fuse.
