I have the Orion Dc -dc smart charger non isolated to charge my 230 amp hour lithium battery in my rv. When I start up the rv I see the battery getting 30 amps as it is supposed to but at the end of the drive I see 0 amps going into the battery. The voltage at the input to the charger is 14.1 and at the start the output is 14.1 but somewhere in between the voltage output voltage drops to 13.2. I have removed the boost solenoid and the behavior contours. Anyone have any idea where to look. Thanks
Can you clarify here?
So to clarify, the start of the drive its all good and then at the end its at 13.2v? Is that close to float voltage set?
How long was the drive?
How depleted was the battery?
If your absorption is set to 14.1 and your float is set to 13.2 this would be proper behavior.
Also make sure that solenoid/battery isolator that I assume you are referring to is completely bypassed and not allowing charging from the alternator to go through it.
