Cyrix-Li-Ct , really? Li connected to my Lead-Acid…am I damaging the lead acid/

Stated in the datasheet, “The Cyrix-Li-ct will parallel connect a lead acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery”

This is a 38’ RV. Lead-acid starter battery & 570aH lithium house battery.
I’m using the Cyrix-Li-Ct between the 2 batteries.
A relay (N.C.) connects the Cyrix to both batteries, normally closed.

When the engine is running, the relay’s N.C. are closed and the lithium is charged via a Victron Dc-Dc to prevent over current / alternator.

When on shore power, the Cyrix-Li-Ct connects the Li & Starter (lead acid) together.
Will I overcharge the lead-acid?

The lithium charge voltages are typically lower than lead acid and full voltage (absorption) is for a shorter duration. When the lithium are full, the float voltage will keep the starter at a float / storage voltage of about 13.5V which is usually OK. To confirm, let us know your charger settings when on shore power.

I’ll check when I’m at the shed/rv. (Xantrex inverter). I disconnected the chassis from charge because I was worried I’d screwed up!

Float V=13.6v & Absorption v=14.6V

They should be OK for a lead acid, you could always double check tech specs of the lead acid.
