Initial installation of the EVCS (with screen) this spring went well, device visible in VRM, possible to schedule chrge sessions etc. After a few weeks CS lost connection, still showed up in VRM but “last seen X weeks ago”.
I contacted the distributor who told me to do the “long press reset” then all worked again for a week.
Now EVCS is not visible in VRM and Dashboard, but when I press Firmware upgrade in VRM the CS is visible, and I even was able to update the firmware to latest 2.08. Also, the screen of the CS show the system Dashboard, showing battery percentage, AC loads etc, live data, not old stuff.
I can also not find the CS when using VictronConnect app in “local mode”, and the CS is not broadcasting its own wifi as used for first install.
Any advice for what to do next to make it visible in VRM & Dashboard?
are you using a mesh configuration for your wifi? the EVCS reports that it is connected, but I’m not sure if the main AP believes the same.
Connected to the same ap as the EVCS, can you ping that IP?
PS- use a cloth and some alcool and clean that screen, it looks so ugly
Hello yes I was able to ping the GX device, ended up at the classic control panel, see screen shot. When doing this the laptop was connected to the same wifi as the EVCS.
No mesh, but both the GX device (MPII GX) and the Energy meter are connected (wired) to the Wifi router via a regular 4 port switch.
why not leaving the DHCP server to do the job and asign ip addresses? Then you can make reservation in you router, so both devices will keep the same Ip addresse forever.
Thanks! I use the switch simply as the router did not have enough ports. I will remove it and try again, hopefully DHCP will work as intended. I am away for a few days, will try on Friday and feedback!
Thanks Lucian and All for your support, most appreciated! /Per
