Connecting Balmar Alternator/Regulator to Cerbo-S GX via VE.can/NMEA2000

Hi all

I am trying to connect my Cerbo-S GX to a Balmar MC-618. The MC618 is the external regulator for the Balmar Alternator. Currently the MC618 is supply state of charge, battery voltage, temps, and a few other metrics to a digital display. I have a NMEA2000 connector that transitions to a VE.Can that I am plugging into the Cerbo. I enabled the VE.Can & CAN-bus BMS profile, but not having any luck getting a device to show up under the devices list.

EDIT: I should add I can also connect the MC618 to balmar’s smartshunt and feed NMEA from there to the Cerbo if that’s a solution. It looks like @mpvader has mentioned this a few months back

Here is the MC-618 manual: https://balmar.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/MC-618.pdf

Here is the rest of the hardware: SG230 - Balmar

I am happy to provide more information if needed. New to all of this.
