Comparing the three different 2000VA inverter chargers

I am choosing between three different 2000VA inverter charges offered by Victron: the Multiplus, Mutliplus Compact, and Multiplus II. Cursory scan of the data sheets they seem very similar. This is for use on a powerboat, will not be grid tied or anything complicated. The Multiplus Compact seems like the oldest design (I installed one on my old boat in 2018), it isn’t clear to me what the differences are between the Multiplus and Multiplus II. Does anyone know?

Three? I only see two.
MultiPlus compact and MultiPlus.

The smallest MultiPlus-II is 3000VA.
The MP-II has two transfer relays in series, that needed in many countries for certification for ESS.

Ah, yes, I was considering upgrading to the 3K MP-II, but I don’t think I can get wiring that big to it, also it is physically somewhat larger. So limiting to the MultiPlus Compact and MultiPlus, are they electrically pretty much the same? The Compact has an aluminum case, preferable on a boat I think. Neither allows using the BLE VictronConnect for configuration, which would have been an advantage of the 3K MP-II. Is there any difference in product life cycle, that is the Compact being older would be dropped from support sooner?

Non of the MultiPlus has built-in Bluetooth, you need a VE.Bus Bluetooth dongle for that.
BUT you don’t have access to all settings with that!

All MultiPlus have the same basic functions.

The multiplus typically has 2 transformers, where the MP2 only has one. The original multiplus is therefor larger heavier and more expensive than the MP2.

Have a look at the physical dimensions and your available space.

Electrically there is very little difference in operation.
