Hello. I am having some trouble with my SmartShunt showing different SOC to the battery BMS.
The battery is an Amptech 100Ah Lithium type with bluetooth and active BMS.
It is charged by a Projecta IC25RV mains, and a Projecta IDC25X Intelli-Charge for solar and alternator.
A SmartShunt keeps track of the ins and outs, but obviously does not control charging.
There is a high current (50 Amp) Anderson connection installed by a third party which I discovered bypasses the shunt. (Don’t ask, I will fix it when I finish travelling, it is quite a job). This connects to a small inverter for occasional use and coffee machine. It is normally isolated by its own master switch. Obviously if it is used the output is not metered and I occasionally have to sync the SOC on the shunt to the Battery BMS values. Annoying but have to live with it at the moment.
Notwithstanding the above, Recently the SS SOC has been significantly less than the BMS SOC. Checking the battery settings in the shunt showed a number of values were back at defaults for Lead Acid. I assume I inadvertently made some changes by mistake, or reset it. I don’t know but no one to blame but me
.
I have corrected all values except for “Charged Voltage”. Currently it shows 13.2v. I am sure this is wrong but there seems to be some confusion on the web between “charging voltage” and “charged voltage” parameters.
What should this value be set to on my SmartShunt?
regards
