I have a Victron System 3 Phase MP2 48/3000 with 4 x US5000C Pylontech Batteries.
System is charging with max 60A. Changed DVCC settings to max 75A but charge current remains 60A. Could it be that the settings in MP2 (x3) are leading values? Should I change settings in MP2 to 25A each to reach total of 75A? I thought that DVCC settings overruled MP2 settings
What you have done it told the inverters to limit charge from grid in the inverter settings. It will obey that. Important to note if you are using AC coupled PV to charge batteries.
DVCC is the global limit so if you have mppts that limits it all.
The system will also usually use the lower of the two limits.
I have indeed 2 ac coupled pv, one 3 phase system and 1 1 phase system. I will change inverter settings via VE Configure from 20A to 25A (3 x) DC. This current limit has nothing to do I suppose with ac limit to prevent AC current exceeding the grid limitations which I have set to 16A.
No the charge current on the charger tab is not the same as the input current limit.
The only relation they have is that the input current will restrict charge (from the grid) if it set low. (Even if you set it to the max the inverter can do)
Tnx a lot
I was able to change values in 3 x MP2 via vrm with download and upload config file after change. Luckily the MP2’s didn’t need to restart so no black out in the house. Increasing value of DVCC resulted in higher charge rate as wanted.
