DVCC “Limit Charge Current” NOT working

The Limit charge current functionality of DVCC does not seem to be working for me. I have 2 multiplus-II set up as split units. input current limit and Charge Current (under Charger setting) have been set as 52A using VConnect.

I have tried to use Limit charge current setting of DVCC to configure the maximum charge current as 0A when I do not want system pulling from Grid or Gen to charge batteries at certain times or lower value like 10A or 20A when I want to limit charge current pulled from grid or Gen. However the system ignores this setting and pulls the max 52A charge current set in Charger settings (load is minimal) from grid or Gen to charge the batteries shutting down my Gen in the process. I have had to manually change value of charge current in the charger settings to a lower figure of 20A when I want to charge the batteries using grid or Gen or to 0A when I want no charge. This can only be done with a MK3 and laptop whichis a real nuisance as I really wanted to do this online whne I am away from home. Very inconveniencing.

Appreciate any help I can get to resolve this. The limit charge current of dvcc is supposed to be a user-configurable maximum charge current setting that works across the whole system. I do not understand why it does not work for me.

Did you activate “feed in exess” in the ESS settings?
grafik
from ESS design and installation
manual:
"4.3.5. Feed-in excess solar charger power
… Please note that when enabling this option, the DVCC charge current limit configured under Settings → Limit charge current won’t be active. "
Probably the system cannot deal with the two settings by moderating the feed-in power to achieve the desired charge current.
I’m also looking for a solution to keep the batterie at e.g. 50% SOC to prevent it from ‘fully charged’ damage in summertime.
