My system rebooted and for 12 hours and counting remote connection is no longer working. I try to connect remotely but get stuck . See screenshot
Does the VRM Portal show real time updates on the dashboard?
Try to reboot the GX device again.
You should be able to send a reboot command from the devicelist on VRM.
The portal has not reported for last 13 hours. Through the Device list on VRM, I tried to reboot but unable to. Location is remote and will take a couple days to reach
If the system isn’t online then the remote console can’t work.
You (or someone else) needs to go there to check what’s wrong.
I guess so. From my Starlink app, I can see that the device is online with an IP allocated to it. All other equipment that draw power from the system are online. I can access the security camera. Only the Cerbo S GX seems to malfunction.
This is not the first it happens. After a few days, it will start logging again
Ok so it has an IP number and you say it is online. Have you tried to ssh into the Cerbo and trigger a reboot from the console?
There is a setting in the GX device to automatically reboot it if it doesn’t have a connection to the VRM portal for a time X.
You should enable that as soon as you have access again.
Will do that
I also assign a static IP to my Cerbo units or you can create a DHCP reservation using the MAC address of the unit. This helps with caching on the router and may help in resolution.
