Good day, I’ve just finished installing my Multiplus-ii 12/3000, and it is up and running fine. I’m now trying to get the Cerbo GX to connect to it. I’ve connected the VE. Direct port on the Multiplus to the Cerbo with an RJ45 cable, but the Cerbo doesn’t show anything. I’ve updated the Cerbo to the latest firmware. Am I missing something?
Double check the cable, use a different one, and make sure the plugs are fully inserted… That’s the common issue with those cables when they are used for Ethernet.
Thanks Christian, I’ve tried two cables using both ports on the Multiplus, and checked and rechecked my connection on the Cerbo, still no luck. On the display, it still just says “off” on the inverter. Any other ideas?
Make sure you connected Multi VE.Bus with the standard single RJ45 to the Cerbo VE.Bus and not one of the four ports associated with VE.Can or BMS.Can. Also note it should not have terminators.
Or possibly the inverter needs an update as well.
But it is more likely it is in the wrong port if there is nothing wrong with the utp cable.
@Rkeating check you don’t have it in the ethernet instead of the ve bus by mistake.
On what display? The one on the GX, like this?
Have you tried changing that? Maybe the Multi is just turned off via software…
Happy to report it’s now working, a little embarrassed to report it was plugged into the Ethernet port. Thanks for the assistance!
Ha ha. Been there!
