Cerbo GX - fuse blowing 48v system

Everytime we plug the cerbo power cable in the fuse blows.

We have a 48v system. Lithium batteries hooked to shunt, hooked to distributor then power cable for cerbo coming off the end of the distributor. There is 52v on the power cable before plugging it into the cerbo gx.

I checked to see if it was the serial numbers of the known batch to fault on 48v systems and it’s not.

Is there a diy way to bench test the cerbo gx to see if it is fully fried before buying a new one? Or maybe find out error before frying another one?

Thank you. It says serial numbers HQ2201xxxxx up… (very poor wording) does that mean all serial numbers above/greater than 2201?

Mine is HQ2414xxxxx.

No … yours is from Year 2024 … definitely none of the defective devices

But I understood you correctly… ONLY the small backup fuse of the Cerbos “blows.” ?

Yes only the small “inline" fuse of the cerbo power cable blows

And what happens when EVERYTHING else is disconnected… no VE BUS, VE Direct, etc… in other words, a “naked Cerbo”? … maybe a broken Device who is connected …

Yup I tried a naked cerbo this afternoon and still blew the fuse.

:grimacing: … Damn… then unfortunately it can ONLY be Cerbo himself.

Not experienced this before… Was there another incident with the technology in the vehicle… Perhaps the long Victron warranty still applies.
