Cerbo GX - bluetooth not enough

My Cerbo GX loose connection to my bluetooth temperature sensors. I have a early version of the Cerbo GX (with a blueetooth receiver that is not powerful enough). Is it possible to change the module instead of using a bluetooth adapter (I expect that a external bluetooth adapter consume more power than a built in)?

This is covered in Section 5.10 of the manual. I use the TP Link UB400 successfully on my 2020 Cerbo GX.

The manual doesn’t say how much the externa bluetooth adapter consume (during winter where I live, I can’t afford any unnecessary consumption)?
Also, will it be possible to turn of the internal bluetooth with the external bluetooth adapter installed?

TP link do not publish a figure, I would have expected them to.

As this is interesting, I have just done a test. I am not currently on my boat so the system is quiescent. I have a Smartshunt on my DC loads. The only thing running are the Cerbo, Smartshunt, BMV 702 battery monitor, heating thermostat, router, GPS and tank level monitoring plus whatever LEDs are lit. The Smartshunt is registering 1.0 to 1.1A flickering between the 2 values every few seconds (14-15W). I disabled Bluetooth, so both internal and external units and there was no change in the measured power draw. This is to be expected if the device is low energy bluetooth, power draw should be less than 0.5W.

No you can not just turn off the internal Bluetooth, there is only one enable/disable button.
