Can't charge with more than around 50amps

Hello,
I try to load my battery via the AC in of the Mulltiuplus RS Solar.
It will not charge with a higher current than around 50 amps.
Th Accu uses a JK BMS connected via CAN bus
Both the Multi RS Solar and the accu are connected using a Cerbo Gx.
The CCL of the accu shown in the victron interface is 95.0A (limit in BMS is 100A)
The CVL is 55.20V
both settings are input from the BMS

General settings in the Multi RS:
Current limit of the AC in is set to 15A; setting a higher value does not change the charge current
Remote current limit is disabled

Accu settings in the Multi RS:
Max charge current 70A; a higher value does not change the charge current
BMS control is enabled

Is there a setting I miss that will increase the max charge current (and why is it limited to +/- 50A charge)

Note discharge is possible with higher current and works as expected

Do you have ‘weak ac input’ enabled? If so, try disabling it.

I do not see the setting you mentioned.
I have an option ‘moderate generator load changes’ but that is disabled

Hi @mrhutt

with my MP2 5k I only reached about 50A and not the possible 70A.
It turned out the voltage drop on the 50qmm battery kabel caused was significatn, as the MP2 took his internal voltage mesaruement and not that from the BMS.

I installed a voltage sense line from V-Sense input at MP2 to the battery terminals and than I could load with full 70A.

Maybe the MP RS also has a VSense connector…

Thanks for the info. Will try this at my system. I use 90mm2 cable but It might be something in the multi.

I ‘solved’ it.

I forgot that during initial installation I played with the DVCC.
In there I enabled the limited charge current to 50A.

I disabled this option in DVCC and am able to charge according the multi rs charge limit setting.
