So I just upgraded my battery to Tab lithium and replaced my easysolar 2 48/3000 with discrete mppt, cerbo & a bit bigger MP2. The problem is, after a few hours of charging/discharging the inverter gives a temperature warning in VRM and most of the time it only charges/discharges at 2500-2700 watts. Room temperature is around 30C now, but MP2 is very hot. I used my thermal camera and noticed that the front panel is almost 60 degrees and on the topside max temperature is a bit over 60C. Previous inverter installed at the same exact spot and at same loads was only “warmish”. Is my MP2 defective or is there something I’m missing? Batteries are installed in the same room and min max temps are 28 & 38C at most and at the same time when I get temperature warning.
Also, MP2 sits at around 35 degrees when idle or at almost zero power. I think that’s a bit high? With Easysolar, ther room temperature was almost 10 degrees lower.
