Hi Community, since yesterday one of my BlueSolar MPPT´s 150/70 turned from ´Ext. control´ to ´Off´. So now I have Voltage coming in from the panels, but no Amps and Watts delivered to the batteries. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Just a thought: Is my incoming Voltage to low now for the 48V Pylontech batteries (i.o.w. should I look into the panels, cables and connections rather than the MPPT?)
The PV voltage has to be at least 5V higher than the battery voltage to start charging and once it is charging it must stay at least 1V higher than the battery voltage.
Thanks to you both. Since (for some reason) the PV voltage is no longer 5V higher than the battery voltage since yesterday, I will have the panels, cables and connections checked and ask for an interchange of the arrays. I am not (yet) confident enough with PV-system/electrics to try it on myself.
Again thanks. Just to let you know: Indeed it turned out to be a falty connector. Interchanging the arrays helped to eliminate the possibility of the MPPT being broken.
Excellent tip!
