Hello everyone.
We’ve installed a Victron Blue Smart IP67 12V-13A regulator on a boat with a Volvo engine.
If the charger is connected and we start the engine, the tachometer, connected to the “W” terminal of the alternator, starts registering, but then stops after a few seconds.
If we start the engine with the charger disconnected, the tachometer works fine.
I would appreciate any solutions to this problem.
Please add a few details about the engine, engine alternator and how the tachometer is connected? Is this an old style tachometer connected to the W terminal of the alternator or a CAN data type tachometer?

Connected for terminal W.
These are susceptible to interference. Try rewiring the charger closer to the Battery, and possibly also try ferrite clamps on the wires.
