I have a Blue Smart IP22 30amp charger and was looking what size mcb in the consumer unit would suit this charger. Can’t find anything in the manual
Nominal 12V charger could rise to 16V allowing for some cable voltage drop, so 16 x 30 = 480W. Allow 10% for efficiency losses so 530W.
If you are 230V ac, 530 / 230 = 2.3A so a 5AMCB would be suitable as long as your ac wiring was hood for 5A.
If you are 110V ac, 530 / 110 = 4.8A so 10A MCB would be suitable.
Your question provided neither the battery charge voltage nor the ac voltage, key info required. I think the 30A version is only available in 12V so the answer is based on that.
