My Victron system has run for 2 years. I have 3 Multiplus 48/5000 in a 3 phase setup with 45 kwh LFP batteries (3x 16S Seplos BMS). Since Sunday 5 April 2026, I see the system scheduling the battery balancing daily. The first day, I’ve balanced the cells (NEEY 4A balancers). Afterwards, I could get the balancing schedule removed by updating the min Soc from 100% to 20%. The next days, also the balancing is scheduled and I can remove the scheduling by updating the min Soc from 100% to 20%. This now happened 4 days in a row and battery balancing is again scheduled for tomorrow.
I’ve set the battery balancing to “off” in the DESS battery settings. I’ve updated from Venus OS 3.55 to 3.72. I can reach the 100% easily by the normal solar PV power, so battery balancing is not necessary. Batterie cells are balanced to <5mV during normal operation, at 100% SoC there can be around 25-55mV variation between the cells.
Can you take a look why this is happening? My VRM Site ID is 428224.
