As we build out our network new users are asking about solar, I would like to give them access so they can view the solar powered sites on VRM but not be able to change things. I would like to have a general login for this application as it is for viewing and nothing more. So far what I see requires a login for each user. Not a problem for a few but at this point we have over 70 users in our area and there are users all over the mesh network that are interested, so that is the reason we need a single login. So far I do not see that ability on the VRM site.
You can share the site publicly, then no account is required at all
It’s also possible to use an iframe and embed it into your own front end websites.

Hi Guy @guystewart
How to display the Details in the iframe?
Implicit is without details…
Is there a switch in the HTML url for that?
Thank you!
What details are you thinking?
That button for “Show details” and/or “Hide details”
Implicit the iframe is displaying without details and it would be nice to have the full info - with details.
See below
What’s even strange now, is that if I take the url from the iframe and I’m putting it directly into the web explorer address bar, it works as I am desiring.
But not inside of an iframe…
Guy,
thank you for your quick reply. I see the share but it appears to be on a site by site basis. We have a group called AREDN sites. I would like to share the whole group as all of the microwave sites as they convert to solar will be added, that way we will not have to share each site. When I go to the groups I do not see a way of doing so.
That is true, there isn’t yet a way to publicly share from the groups interface so it it needs to be done site by site for now.
That’s a reasonable feature request, I’ll pass it on to the VRM team but it might take a while to be implemented, so in the mean time it might be faster to go one by one for now.
OK, I understand. In this case I want our users who are not thinking about using solar to not only think
about it but to see it in action. I am thinking about a common user login that might avoid that not sure if
I can do it but will try.
