The battery temperature is displayed in the overview on the VRM portal, but not in the GUI-V2.
This is duplicate, there is a report in this category already about this.
OK, Thanks
But this is not for all systems or batteries. I have the temperature for my pylontechs at GUI V2.
Hello, yes, I also have another system with polyontech batteries, it works. This system is equipped with facility batteries, but uses the same protocol and the temperature is also displayed/transmitted in Connect, so it should work here too in the gui-v…
It seems that Battery Temp and only works for non-Victron batteries, in GUI v2
but pylontech works and I use the same protocol as pylontech…

Works fine for REC BMS via BMS-CAN
Same problem for me despite in victron app and VRM temperature works fine.
In my system temperature reading is provided by smart dongle and by easy plus
My battery is not managed by gx (generic lifep04 with own BMS)
Hi @amidships
Do you have a Shunt or a battery temperature sensor connected to inverter?
Because for Cerbo display and VRM the battery temperature is given by the BMS. And you don’t have, as you’ve said the battery BMS connected to Cerbo.
And the VictronConnect is possible to show the temperature of the inverter, as read by the inverter, through an external sensor.
Yes I have the Smartshunt but the aux is used to monitor the voltage of the starter battery
The temperature of the leisure battery is read by 2 units
- VE.Bus Smart Dongle (attached by VE.Bus to the EasyPlus) and shared with the other components in Victron Connect
- Directly using the standard temperature sensor cable from the EasyPlus attached to the battery pole
Adding to this, I don’t have a battery temperature plugged into my SmartShunt, and wasn’t planning to. It would be nicer if the temperature wasn’t shown at all.
I could add a sensor from the Cerbo, but not sure if it would show up here.
Interesting. I have the Victron SmartLithium batteries and Lynx Smart BMS and do NOT have the temperature appearing on GUIv2. I even have a separate temp probe hooked up, but I wonder if the Shunt w/ Temp probe is required.
The empty temp field was removed with v3.50~15
It only shows up if theres some temp to display
The victron lithium smart batteries do not transmit the temperature to the GX device unless you have some of the very first NG versions.
Whats NG?
New Generation, first ones just released, remainder later this year. Communicates cell voltages and temperatures to the GX. Put NG into search on Victron site.
Wonder why was taken the decision for the battery to not send anymore the temperature into the system…
