I have a cerbo GX (v3.52) connected to 2x multiplus-II in parallel via VE.Bus, JKBMS via canBMS CAN-bus, SmartShunt 500a(v4.16) via VE direct, Energy Meter ET112 (currently off) via RS485 - USB and 2x SmartSolar MPPT VE.Can 250/100 rev2 (v3.16) via VEcan.
Since March 14th the SmartSolar SCC (bottom) stopped charging even though the batteries were not fully charged and the second SmartSolar (top) SCC continued charging. I noticed the issues on the 26 March, I powercycle both units and the issued resolved. But recurred the following day, over the next few days I replaced cat5e cables (on the CAN) and moved the SCC in to a different order connecting bottom directly to the Cerbo and Top scc and terminating top.
The issue seem to have gone away until yesterday. I hope you can help me with this issue i check every think i can think off.
the next thing i’m considering is switching the solar panel to see if they are what is causing the issue.
I am experiencing the same trouble with my SMartSolar 150/85 it erratically stops charging for no reason with no other siogn ( Modee flag is showing “Bulk and MPPT while current is exactly 0 , PV modules are a 84 V an sun shining , Battery aprrox. 50% charged , BMS signal is good .
I can make it restart usiing the MODE Register ( set to 4 = deactivatiate ) , wait fopr at least 5 min an the re- activate
Anyone having an idea ?
I am seeing a similar issue on one of my 100/50, one controller seems to stop charging just before the absorbsion stage, and then stays at 0 until absorbsion is finished, while the other continues through the full process correctly
Yes, both are connected to a cerbo. Both are reading identical battery voltage, i have the charge settings set identical on each.
they are 2 different sizes of panels, 1 is 820w and the other is 410. The controlled with the 410w panel is the one that stops charging, shows proper PV voltage, but no amps
