1 of the PV inverters goes on half power when Off-Grid

For a client we build bigger system (240kwh storage - 45kVa). At the ACOUT1 Side are 4 PV inverters. 3 smaler ones and one from 25kW (The PV inverters where already present)

When the Grid voltage is to high because of net congestion, we isolate the system from the grid.

In this case ALL PV inverters are ‘out of the air’ for a couple of minutes and then present and full back in production. The bigger PV inverters also comes back in production but is only producing half of the capacity.

When i look at the frequnecy which is generated by Victron when off-grid it seems to be the same as On Grid. (Because my first thougts where about the Frequency Shifting issue).

But that seems nog be the case. Also the other 3 inverters are working perfectly

What is the problem here?? Any suggestion??

How many and which Multis are installed?
What kind of PV inverters and how are they configured? via which control system are they integrated into the Victron system?

Without a grid, the energy cannot be fed into the grid. Generation may already be reduced because the transmission or charging capacity of the Multis is not sufficient.
What happens with a large load at the output? Does the PV inverter then increase its output?

Hi Steffen,

The inverters are AC coupled PV inverters on the AC Out1. They are integrated into the system with frequency shifting enabled. (Growatt inverters). We are not going over the 1 on 1 victron rule.

This installation is build with 3 MultiPlus 2 15kVa in a 3 phase configuration. A big load does nog make any difference.

Kind regards Eric
