Hello,
I read a while ago that all Veconfigure functionality would at some point become part of Victron Connect and that Veconfigure would be retired.
If I recall correctly it was a Victron support comment.
Can anyone comment on the status of this please? Is it still correct? Just curious and planning ahead.
Except for very advanced installations, VictronConnect already has roughly 95% of the functionality of VEConfigure - has been for several years now. Still requires the wired connection through an MK3 of course, but it’s there.
Thanks for that @Justin
We are unable to do settings remote on Multiplus via Victron Connect at all on MacOS, iOS and Windows.
Is that considered advanced or is it perhaps still a security or law/regulation feature?
We still need to download a veconfigure file before a firmware update of multiplus and then edit and upload that file
and that is Windows/Veconfigure only. Right? That feature would certainly be nice via Victron connect.
For some users that need remote help it would certainly be useful.
I help some older users in offgrid locations and would really like to be able to do some more stuff easier.
The only way I have come across is to leave a computer with Internet remote access hooked up.
But that has its shortcomings also. Many thanks again.
