What is the maximum AC input current for Multiplus 48 5000/70-50

Hi all, now this may sound a stupid question but I’ve tried to search everywhere, and I’m sure some one will say “it’s in the manual” but please don’t flame me.

I’m planning on running my multiplus as ESS in single leg mode, I.e AC in is only used, bi-directional. I’ve heard people say max output on ac out 1 & 2 is 50a combined. does this apply to ac in also? Is it 50a on that back to grid/consumer unit. Or 20a?

Thanks in advance. Wondering how much I can push things upstream with the EM112 or a CT

50A is the max passthrough current form IN to OUT.

If you only use AC IN the max current is what the MultiPlus can invert from the battery.
That’s 4000W at 230V is around 17A.

Ah ok, far less that I was hoping for, may have to rethink my plan then. Or move some of the loads from the consumer unit to the Victron consumer unit and incorporate those into ac outs.

Sorry also forgot to say thanks for confirming my suspicions

The 8kVA Multiplus has a 100A input current limit which in a domestic setting would be the same or more than the cut-out fuse limit on your supply from the DNO (in the UK).
