VRM report for EVCS - Your input is wanted!

Dear all,

We are about to work on an ‘EVCS report’ in VRM and would love to hear from you what you would like to see included in it.

Let me know in this post and we will consider it for development.

On behalf of the VRM team,

Barbara

Thanks for the opportunity.

1. Per-user/session identification.

RFID tag or user account logging in report useful for billing tenants, staff, or Airbnb guests separately.

2. Real-time and historical cost tracking

More advanced tariff handling (TOU, demand charges). Cost-per-session and cumulative cost reporting.

@Barbara

+1 for the suggestions made by @AJM1 to include individual charging sessions with totals viewable for both a calendar month and the option to set for a utility company billing month dates too. For example, our utility company (Octopus Energy in the UK), bills us on the 27th of each month. It would be nice to have our monthly EVCS charging usage to align with our solar import and export costs and rewards.

Many people in the UK (and likely many other countries too) now have EVs as a company car. They all need to be able to claim home charging expenses back from their companies, just as they would for petrol and diesel costs if they ran an ICE car. Historically, we would submit (on a monthly basis) petrol and diesel receipts along with the rest of our monthly expenses on a monthly basis.

So for company car business use, a detailed monthly report showing each charging session, cost for that session and a monthly total would be extremely useful. I appreciate it becomes complicated if there’s more than one vehicle using a charger (An Airbnb property for example), but there is a need to be able to setup multiple accounts associated with a single charging station tied to RFID in some form.

Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to comment on this topic.
