I just want to let you know that there are corrupted spot price data in the VRM portal for Czech Republic today evening (2025-09-30 from 18:00 till 24:00).
The prices for these hours are all the same CZK 1.77/kWh in my case, despite the fact that the actual prices are completely different (see: https://www.ote-cr.cz/cs/kratkodobe-trhy/elektrina/denni-trh?date=2025-09-30)
This affects the DESS decisions in this timeframe which are completely wrong and is wasting money.
It’s worth noting that the prices for tomorrow are correct already, despite the fact that starting on tomorrow the Czech Republic Electricity Market Operator (OTE) is starting to report the spot prices in 15min intervals rather than the 1hour it used before.
Chances are that this may be related to the data corruption in the VRM portal.
nope, I didn’t changed anything yet, need confirmation from my provider if he uses the 15min intervals already or if he is still stuck with 60min intervals.
Anyway, this should not happen and therefore it’s a bug worth reporting … but If this problem is really related to Europe switching to 15min trading intervals, It may not really be worth fixing after all. (just hope that the confused DESS won’t really break the bank in those 2 hours that remain )
OK, so seems that the data corruption in the VRM portal re-appeared today, despite the fact that yesterday night the data for today were correct. The data for today are missing from 6AM all the way till the end of the day. Maybe you have some problem with fetching the data from the pricing service which may be overloaded since yesterday or something like that. Either way, outage notification and acknowledgement that someone is aware of this and solution is planned will be nice. As this is IMO prety fatal flaw for the DESS service which renders it almost useless.
I am using DESS, I also switched from 60 minutes to 15 minutes, because my distributor will now use 15-minute slots. However, the system still only parses the first 24 values. After 6 hours there are no values at all. I even tried switching back, but the problem persists.
I would like to mention that according to EU regulation and the end of the exemption for the day-ahead electricity market, the transition to 15-minute MTU in the SDAC coupling was legally set for 11 June 2025. The go-live was later postponed to 1 October 2025, with all European PXs (including OTE in the Czech Republic) publishing valid 96 values per day from this date.
Despite this long-announced deadline, It seems that the VRM backend still parses only 24 values (as if they were hourly), which means that after the first 6 hours the spot price schedule is empty. The data are correct and complete on the OTE/ENTSO-E side, so I assume this is solely a parsing issue on your side.
Could you please confirm that VRM will provide all 96 values correctly ?

this is exactly the same price graph I am seeing. We will have to wait for an answer from Victron support, and I hope it will be ASAP. I also noticed that until yesterday night the values were correct, but from today only the first 24 are shown.
… confirming that the VRM portal is now displaying/using sane data, it is however still using hourly data rather than 15min segments.
I can confirm that entso-e is still receiving hourly data from CEPS as @Barbara mentioned above and thus Czech Republic is the only
EU country that didn’t managed to switch to 15min intervals cleanly
Btw. I’ve sent inquiry to OTE (market operator) and CEPS (transmission system operator) for comments, and OTE says the reporting is CEPS responsibility, and CEPS responded that they “appreciate my message and passed my request to colleagues for resolution” … so I hope they will resolve it soon(ish)
Due to an implementation error in a large-scale system affecting multiple entities, the hourly prices for the trading day of October 1, 2025, were unfortunately published. Instead of 15-minute values, average hourly prices were released. This error was identified and corrected during the course of yesterday. For the trading day of October 2, 2025, prices have already been published with 15-minute resolution.
but it seems that the data in the VRM portal for today are still kind of wrong for me:
(had to switch back to 60min intervals as my provider (bezdodavatele.cz) will start charging me in 15min intervals starting next year)
but the VRM portal is displaying the prices correctly only until 23:00 and after that it switches back to 15min intervals for the last hour

I deleted my previous post (where I mentioned that the planning is still running on 60-minute intervals, which is clearly visible on the Energy graph) – my apologies. I forgot to also switch the Sell prices to the 15-minute interval. I overlooked that this setting needs to be adjusted separately for selling as well.
I’m just waiting for the planning to be recalculated, and I hope this time it will also be correct.
Update: Both prices are now correct. Regarding the Energy planning graph, it is still visualised using 60-minute intervals – and as noted in another thread in Dynamic ESS and 15 minute pricing - #7 by Barbara
