It will be hard turn off of solar, as in those hours charging the battery from grid is economically more profitable.
Note that you will be able to set the threshold, so for some this will be at -1 cent but for others -10 cents.

Awesome! please consider that some systems are not able to be integrated with victron, but for example i turn my enphase solar off with another system. Please please please add an option that DESS just considers solar production to be 0 kwh if the prices are below 0
I had a similar issue where SolarEdge shuts off the Solar production and DESS is not charging energy with negative prices from the grid.
Is there a list that shows which PV inverters (brand / type) are supported. Those should use the modbus / sunspec.
I am mainly curious for GroWatt inverters.
I see a interesting github for this type inverters:
Hi Barbara,
I would like to see the option to have solar turned of during negative BUY prices (not sell prices)
during negative sell prices I can put solar to my battery, and DESS will limit my solar inverters already (Via modbus) so that’s covered, however I noticed it’s not turning of solar during negative BUY prices, where I would earn money by importing from the grid. (in Belgium there is around a 15cent difference between buy and sell, so negative buy prices are a bit more rare than negative sell)
Hi,
You are right, that was my mistake: this is indeed for buy. However, also for sell once your battery is full and there are no loads to use solar for.
What would be the difference with the current behaviour for negative sell prices ?
When sell prices are negative and there is no load to put solar to DESS is already curtailing my 2 SMA inverters and victron solar charger ? (Even though the sma page on the documentation claims this doesn’t work) this is happening correctly to 10W precision keeping grid at almost exactly 0
