VRM app for Google OS (Wear OS) watches

Rebooted phone and watch.
Logged into VRM on phone.
Watch connected to phone (Note: Phone is Huawei but VRM runs fine)
Launched VRM on watch.
Watch requests Reload but button press gives no response.

Ok, we will look into this issue, it might be a phone related indeed.

I have a similar issue when using this app on my Pixel watch 3. App loads fine and displays info but no way to exit the app. I can swipe to exit on all other apps but not this one.

Hi, thanks! We will check this issue.

Make sure you’re using the VRM app from the Playstore on your phone and not the PWA version. I had the same issue.

Using a Pixel Watch 2. Swiping Left/Right or Up/Down doesn’t do anything.

I can use physical dial on the bezel to go Up/Down but there’s 3 installs on my VRM and since I clicked on the wrong one first, I’m stuck on it now since I can’t go Left or Right.

Thanks for the effort doing the app though. Looks great.

Solved immediately. Thanks @pau1phi11ips This can be a confusing issue.

The 3 dots on the right do not respond on my phone (I don’t have a rotating bezel on the Watch5Pro)
Edit: Ignore me… you have to swipe left - the bottom dot

Would love to see VRM come to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in the future so all of us can monitor through our infotainment systems and third-party head units.

Hi, we received this request few times, let’s see if we can do it. There are some regulations on both, we have to see if an application like this can be approved on these platforms. Normally, only applications that are driving related can be added, and VRM it is not in my opinion

Ahh, I see. Would probably be a stretch if it was considered as an IOT app, eh?. Appreciate the response! :slightly_smiling_face:

we can try

I am new to smartwatches. I only purchased one because the VRM now works on it! I got a Samsung fit 3 because it was the cheapest Samsung I could find and somebody else on this thread said they got it to work on a Samsung. I really can’t figure out how to install it though.
Did i buy a watch that it wont run on?
If it does run on this watch could anybody provide a set of install instructions for someone who knows nothing about smart watches?
If it doesn’t run on this watch could we get a compatibility list so I know which watch to buy next…

Hi, no, that watch is not going to work because it’s not running the Google WearOS

I‘d love to have also some Apple Watch Complications*

  • hope it‘s the right word as I used dictionary. I mean on the watch face a possibility to show e.g. Battery %age without opening the app

Sorry for posting herr bit iOS section posted above is private so i can‘t enter

Yes, coming

Hallo,
Your link in the main article does not work and opens a page with the following text:
“# Oops! That page doesn’t exist or is private.”
It is the blue link “VRM app for Apple Watches” after the words: We have a similar project for Apple watches here -

The app is no longer in Beta, it can be downloaded from the playstore/appstore

Hallo Lucian,
I know it is no longer in Beta. I’ve been using the VRM app for Apple Watch for the past 3 weeks without any problems. It’s great to be able to view the VRM measurement in my wrist without having to take out my phone from my pocket. However, today I did not have my phone with me and the app did not work. My watch has cellular and data enabled but I was not able to make the VRM app show anything, and I was away from the usual WiFi connection/network. So my question is whether the Apple Watch app always requires a bluetooth connection to an iPhone or WiFi connection to function? If not, is there a way to enable the VRM Apple Watch app to obtain its data/info via the watch data cellular connection: 3G, LTE/4G, or 5G? Thank you for making the app work so well otherwise.
Regards,
Ed

Hi! For now, the authentication part is performed through phone, and that’s why it’s not working. But it will be added, most probably in V3.
