VRM API stuck on 'Connecting to VRM API'

I am having major trouble getting the VRM API to work. It either says Connecting to VRM API or Error Connecting to VRM API

It worked one time only and has never worked since.

I have tried multiple API keys, several different site id numbers, changed the settings on the Cerbo GX to classic UI, removed several sensors to try to reduce CPU, changed my home network settings in case that was blocking access, even ran the Cerbo off a wireless hotspot. Im at a loss of what to try next.

I’ve only seen such a problem once before, which turned out to be an ipv6 thing. Can you check the box to force ipv4 in the configuration and try again?

And I notice that you are in Australia. Just thinking of that this thread could also be relevant: VRM no longer functioning - #32 by guystewart (tagging @guystewart in)

What does your browser tells you when you insert the link from the node.

https://vrmapi.victronenergy.com/v2/installations/815120/dynamic-ess-settings

On my connection it outputs:
{“success”:false,“errors”:“Login required”,“error_code”:“invalid_credentials”}

that means the VRM server is reachable.

Thanks @dfaber . I have tried it with and without Force IPv4 checked. No difference.

When I paste the URL into the browser it also returns:

{"success":false,"errors":"Login required","error_code":"invalid_credentials"}

Perhaps the cerbo connection to the internet and or provider or devices in between of that connection could be packet shaping or something else that causes you trouble.

I can’t believe it! Apparently it doesn’t like my home network or my mobile hotspot. Connected it to Starlink and it works! Thanks for the help!
