VRM and DESS not showing Solar energy (kWh) while produced kW is available

In the dashboard the ‘live’ Solar production is visible (linked my Solaredge to the Cerbo with ‘Sunspec’), this is around 15:15 today.

The VRM and DESS charts however show the forecast solar, but as each hour passes the actual produced solar (visible in live data) is not shown in the charts.

In the VRM overview below the grid forecast and actual are shown correctly. But for Solar only forecast is shown, and actual total is 0 kWh.

Is suspect this has something to do with the large and fixed (not changing) value for Energy that the Cerbo is given by the Sunspec connection from the Solaredge inverter.

I did set up this connection as described here, set a fixed IP, and Cerbo immediately recognized the SE inverter.

Is there a way to have the actual solar energy production recorded / show in the charts?

Your assumption is right, the momentary values are taken from the /AC/LX/Power values from dbus, while the actual produced values are calculated from /AC/EnergyForwarded.

If these values are not changing, the system will conclude 0 production.

Can you somehow access the Inverter and check what it’s internal values are doing? I have a gas-heater whichs internal “total” value is yearly running into it’s bit type limitation and needs to be resetes to 0, before it will count again.

Try setting the inverter to “english”. Some languages (like german) are using the “,” as decimal seperator, and if their API then is exporting that values in a localized format, any other system expecting the “.” will fail to correctly parse that value.
