Using a Virtual Device with EV charger role. The physical device behind it had 2000+ kWh total energy when I started using it (it’s an MID meter). When I first commissioned the Virtual EM, VRM showed a 1h EV charger consumption of the 2000+ total energy. When I upgraded to the latest beta last night it did the same thing again.
Now in VRM, I have 2 days in a little over a month both showing an enormous spike in EV charging consumption.
Please make sure to update to the latest beta of Venus, which includes node-red-contrib-victron 1.7.11. That should resolve this (because of this patch).
Yes, I have the very same problem. Created a virtual device with Heat Pump role on version 3.80~21 and initially it plotted the total used kWh instead of the delta between two measurements. This leads to a huge spike. It happened again today after upgrading to 3.80~22.
Did you set the following to “no”? I’ve found that if you leave it as “yes”, then the system initializes the virtual meter with a zero kWh value. When the first “real” reading comes in, you get a spike (e.g., after every Cerbo reboot)
By setting it to “no”, I believe it initializes the virtual meter with no kWh value. So when the first “real” reading comes in, that’s the starting point.
