Victron Phoenix Inverter to shore power 230V?

quick question, hopefully not asked before too often…

Friend of mine had a Van custom built by a company here in Germany. For some reason, they only installed 230V via outside shore power, but not via 12v-230v inverter.
I am now wanting to install the Phoenix Inverter 12V 250W.
Question that i have:
Can i connect the inverters AC out simply to the existing AC circuit of the Van. My worry is that when the Van is connected to shore power, there is “incoming” AC power on the Inverter’s AC out, and i wonder whether this causes damage to the inverter.
Alternative is that i run a 2nd AC outlet circuit, which is NOT connected to the 230V from shore power, and ONLY gets AC power via the inverter.

Sorry if this was a dumb question, i looked and could not find the answer. Even the circuit drawings on victron did not specify this question to me.

Thanks in advance and happy Victroning!
Kai

Or you can have a manual mcb changeover switch (like this) to switch the load direct to shore or the inverter output.
There is this option.

Thanks LX, i am reluctant to pay more for another piece of hardware if i can avoid it.
So my preference is to simply connect it to the existing AC circuit as per my post, but need to know whether or not that is possible.
alternative is to install one more GPO for the Inverter-AC-Circuit.

Not if it is going to back feed the inverter. The phoenix can’t take that. You need to safely switch between both power sources.

Thanks LX, that was the info i was after
I will look into your suggestion, or install a parallel 230V “Inverter fed” circuit in the van

Cheers much!
