Hello everyone,
I’m running into the following issue and hope someone can help me.
I have a Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/3000 connected to a 12V 300Ah LiFePO4 battery.
When I connect the inverter, it seems to draw a large inrush current (likely due to charging the internal capacitors), which causes the battery’s BMS protection to shut down immediately.
Result:
-
The battery cuts off right away
-
The inverter does not start
My question:
How can I solve or prevent this?
I was thinking about:
-
using a pre-charge resistor
-
or another way to limit the inrush current
But I would really appreciate advice on the best and safest solution in practice.
Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
Robert
