Victron Multiplus ii Gx

Before I invest time and costs, I like to check in with this community to see if what I want to do is practicable.
What I have is a grid-tied 10kw sungrow inverter with 10kw solar panels on the house.
What would like to do is to install the multiplus 48/5000 in the garage with a 16kw battery. What i’m wanting the multiplus to do for me is, 1 charge the batteries to a max of 3.6kw when it detects I’m exporting power to the grid. 2 When it detects that I’m importing from the grid, start to offset that by using the batteries to a max of 3.6kw. And 3, when the grid goes down, it must also disconnect from the grid and house sungrow inverter and only supply to critical loads that are the garage.
the distance from the garage to the meter box is quiet long, 35mtrs. would that be a problem for the current transfomer that the multiplus would use.

Cheers in advance for any feedback

Is the sungrow on the output of the victron or on the input/ grid side?

input/grid side

Since the sungrow doesn’t integrate natively with a Victron GX you would need to look probably at node red and the use of energy meters to measure production and when there was excess going to grid

I’ll do some research on node red, it is a new term for me.

It is a steep curve for sure. There is a software itegrators program by Victron where there are people to help professionally.
But if you want to diy it, it can be worked out over time.

This part can already be done in the normal GX interface and through basic programming.

This could also probably be done through the normal interface with the energy meter as well.

so a victron current transformer would not be enough?

For this one a proper meter would be needed. The distance may require some additional networking or cabling for comms.
