Victron MultiPlus II 800 Switching Between Absorption and Inverting

Hi everyone,

Once I switched my battery from Victron 110Ah AGM to PowerQueen 200Ah LiFePo, I’m experiencing an issue with my Victron MultiPlus II 800. After reaching absorption mode, the device periodically disconnects from the grid and switches to inverting. This cycle repeats about 3-5 times before finally settling into float mode.

Here’s what I’ve checked so far:

  1. Grid voltage and frequency appear stable within acceptable ranges.
  2. Absorption and float voltages are set according to battery specs (LiFePO4).

  3. Firmware is up to date.

  4. No significant external loads or generator input during this behavior.

Has anyone encountered similar behavior? Could this be a configuration issue or a hardware fault? Any advice would be appreciated!

Lowering Absorption voltage from 14.4V to 14.2V seemed to help this
