I have a RV with a victron system. The system has a Multiplus II, Victron MPPT, 800 Watts of solar, BMV-712, 400 amp hours of Battle Born batteries and a raspberry pi running Venus OS. I’ve been using the system for two years with no problems.
I spent the winter in Florida in the same spot for six months. I configured the system for Solar Wind Priority and it’s worked fine for the six months. We’re getting ready to travel for the summer and turned off the solar priority. I set the Sustain voltage of the solar wind priority configuration to 13.20V.
The muliplus II acts like it’s stuck in Solar Wind Priority mode, but instead of the charger in sustain mode, it’s stuck in absorption mode. During the evening, the Multiplus II only charges to a battery voltage is 13.20V (the sustain voltage from the solar wind priority). It never change charge mode.
During the day, the solar continues to be treated as priority. It charged the batteries up to 100% and the MPPT is in float. Anytime there’s a load on the system, The Victron Connect shows the current is coming from the battery. The Multiplus II shows zero amps. At times is shows a slight negative (~.8V) then, back to zero. I’ve double checked the configuration using VE Config and the solar wind priority is off. Also the option Wind Solar Priority option to charge to 100% is gone on Victron Connect app.
I’ve toggled the Solar Wind Priority several times, with no change. I did notice in Solar Wind Priority mode the Charge to 100% option is there but when I select it, it says it’s charging, but it doesn’t
I’ve also upgraded the Multiplus II to the latest firmware, hopping that would reinitialize something. No change.
I’ve restarted the Multiplus Ii several times. I also reset it from Venus OS. No change.
Any ideas will be appreciated.
