I’ve been using Version 3.64 of the VenusOS on a Raspberry Pi 4B. Using the GUIv1 I can see and control the 3 relays I have installed on a WaveShare 3-channel Relay hat.
You are running modifications / 3rd party software to control and display that. Many of these add ons written for gui1 do not work on gui2, one example being guimods.
I have no idea, contact the provider of the 3rd party add on. Gut feel is VRM is not designed to handle extra relays over and above the 2 that come natively with a Cerbo GX.
Moved to modifications section as it may get more traction.
GuiMods only affects gui-v1 (aka Classic UI). It does not change gui-v2 or VRM.
RpiGpioSetup adds relays to the system on the RPI platform. This hopefully will allow additional relays to appear in gui-v2 (aka New UI) and VRM.
However, expanded relay support is still being developed by Victron (v3.70 beta firmware). When finished it reportedly will support relay expansion via Victron and third party expansion modules. GuiMods is using the Victron-approved interface to relay control so my hope is it will show these expansion modules but time will tell.
Part of the relay work is a “Switch” page for gui-v2 (aka New UI) and I assume VRM which is third UI development effort.
v3.70~27 and RpiGpioSetup have a problem which causes much of the system to not work. It has something to do with adding relays to the RPI platform which worked in previous versions including betas of v3.70. I have not yet found the cause.
Until this “systemcalc crash” the New UI and VRM were only showing two of the 6 relays.
