Victron Connection App Solar readings inaccurate

I have a Victron SmartSolar MPPT VE.Can 150/100 A10E

When I view the Solar Voltage & Power, the power readings do not match the Multi Meter readings tested at the connection point of the controller. The Voltage is correct but the power is not. On the meter, I get AMPs @ 8.63A +/- On the App I get .01A

I have been through all of the settings but am not sure if any of the settings available will correct this issue. I am in the process of building my system and I also have an ECO-WORTHY 60A MPPT. On this MPPT I get the same readings as the meter. I am using the Android App.

I don’t want to use the ECO-WORTHY and prefer the Victron for it’s remote capabilities. I cannot find anything in any of the manuals or online in reference to this issue. I hope there is someone in this community that has experienced the same issue and was able to resolve it.

Meter reading AMPs - 11.61A / Victron Connect App - .01A

Volts - 22.59 VC App 22.43v

Calculated Watts as per meter - 262.27

Watts on App - 5W

Is the MPPT connected to a battery? Are you using a DC current clamp to measure the current?

Have you checked if the cable connected to the positive terminal is actually carrying positive voltage?

Mac, yes, I have verified all voltages and verified the polarity on all cables. I am testing the voltages right at the screw terminals on the controller. So this I know is the proper voltage going into the controller.

What meter are you using to measure this?

I’m using a standard digital multi meter made by Wire Path an AV equipment manufacturing company

Does it use a current clamp? Or are you disconnecting a terminal and putting the meter in series with the panel and the MPPT?

Here’s some shots of the readings I’m getting that are not correct in the Victron App. Let me know if you need more info.

Can you show a screenshot of VictronConnect, of the main screen and the settings? The battery is 12V? You checked fuses, so the Victron MPPT works even when PV is disconnected?

Just to make sure, you are putting the meter in series? Not measuring directly on the terminals the way you measure voltage?

unluckily your screenshots were lost.

Mac, I did test on the terminals not in series. I will try that.

Please refer to the manual of your multimeter on how to wire when measuring current. There’s a good chance the meter is damaged or internal fuse blown when putting voltage on the leads in the current setting.

Putting the ammeter on the terminals provided an alternative path for the current to flow. You probably have a poor connection between the MPPT and the battery so it is not allowing much current through.

I measured the amps in series on the solar feed. It was 0.04 amps
